Circa 1820. A classic Dutch walnut and burr walnut bombe shaped chest of drawers. The well-shaped top and a raised moulded edge, with a configuration of four drawers, the bottom drawer is bow fronted in shape, each of the drawers retains its original elegant escutcheons and handles which include pierced sections, swags tails and a ram head. The drawer liners are in oak (a sign of quality), with two panels of gables, beneath the bottom drawer there is an ogee and shaped frieze. The chest rests on simple feet at the back and shaped curled feet on the front.
