Circa 1880, wonderful cast brass and ormolu French wall clock of generous proportions. The clock has an enamel face with beautiful painted swags and tails and elaborate hand cut open fretwork ormolu hands. The bezel is cast and has convex glass. The clock is in a large casting with cockerel heads, swags, tails and the top bi-metal (brass and copper) spindles. There are finials and a very stylish pediment on top. The clock has an 8 day movement. It has been serviced and is working. Beautiful and elaborate.
