Circa 1900, stylish French shaped top occasional table. The table top is a mixture of walnut and rosewood with foliate marquetry in the centre and framed in a Rococo frame of satinwood, all contained in a cast brass moulded banding. Below this is a shaped apron with brass beading with foliate casting. Towards the bottom of the legs there is a tray which follows the same shape as the top without the marquetry but with a similar brass edge. At the top of the legs there is foliate castings which taper down the top of the leg and the legs are simple and elegant, finishing with small cast brass sabots. The table is a neat size, clean and sturdy.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
