Circa 1840. An early Victorian French walnut two part dresser. The top section with moulded cornice with a deep frieze, the three shelves each with a front-rail and uprights held in place by peg dowels. The top section with panel sides and an extended foot resting on a large walnut base, which has two drawers above two cupboards, all with stylish heraldic shield brass escutcheons and the original locks and keys. The cupboards in the base with panel doors with wonderful figured walnut, open to reveal two shelves in the top and an open section in the bottom. The gables with panels similar to that of the top, the base rests on squat bracket feet. The dresser has excellent colour and patination.
