Circa 1920s, George II style walnut and burr walnut sideboard. With a crossbanded burr walnut top and a carved dragonian fore edge which continues around the front and the sides. The sideboard has an unusual configuration at the front, with 2 serpentine drawers which have burr walnut cross banding and cast brass drop handles. Both sides have 2 curved bow fronted drawers with burr walnut facing, cross banding and similar handles, and the gables have crossbanded burr walnut panels. Beneath the bottom drawer there is an ogee moulding and a shaped apron which has a rococo carved shelf to the front. It stands on 4 elaborate carved cabriole legs with C-scrolls to the top carved shells on the quarter block knees and it finishes on a ball and claw foot.
