SN2411 Superb quality and very elegant George IV mahogany grandfather clock, having white enamel dial signed Lomax Blackburn with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials, the spandrels painted with figures emblematic with 4 continents, the two train 8 day movement, striking on overhead bell. The case having swan neck cresting, inlaid frieze, carved with acorns and crossbanded door flanked by fluted quarter columns raised upon an inlaid plinth base with canted corners terminating in ogee feet. c1810
