hagenauer carved wood african bust

This is a fabulous piece. It is a carved wood bust of an African woman by Hagenauer. It stands 35.5cm in height. Circa 1920’s the base is impressed with the letters HAG and hand written with Hagenauer. At one time she probably sat on a different base as there are a couple of attach holes. She also a hole on the top of her head, not sure what purpose it served. At the moment it holds information which supports her provenance as a Hagenauer piece. (see picture). Superb.
