    A fascinating early 19th century miniature watercolour painting.
     
    A fine miniature painting inscribed to the rear with "J. K. Cleeve". Believed to depict Rev. Dr. John Kingdon CLEEVE, Rector of St. George's in Exeter. Born 1765, Died 1841.
     
    The painting is offered in excellent original condition. There are no signs of loss to the portrait. Under close inspection the frame shows mild signs of age.

    This painting comes with Provenance having previously belonged to Barry Lock. This piece was housed in Barry's fine art collection.
