Circa 1815. An unusual and stylish patent action drop leaf sofa table. The long narrow top in mellow mahogany with a ribbed fore-edge, with two drop leaves with rounded corners, the table top rests on four stylish turned and tapering supports with a swivel action, which are hinged in the base, and swing out at 45 degrees forming supports for the two drop leaves. The supports have four stout turned stretchers and the table rests on four hipped saber legs finishing with a brass block and brass castors beneath.
