Circa 1890, top quality mahogany open waterfall bookcase. The top has a double moulded edge and a small gallery at the back. The centre of the gallery is raised and has a carved roundel in the form of a flower head. Beneath this are 4 shelves and a central division on each shelf which is polished and rounded at the front. There is a scratch carving moulding on the front edge of each shelf. The bottom shelf stands on a plinth with a moulding similar to the top and beneath this is a small apron. All standing on stylish bracket feet with brass and white porcelain castors. Excellent colour and patination.
