Circa 1860, good quality mid Victorian unusual five tier mahogany whatnot. The top shelf is finished with four carved finials with a top in the form of flower petals surmounted by a small circular point. Each of the shelves has an ogee moulded edge and is serpentine shaped on all sides. The top columns have a carved top and a fluted tapering body, and the rest of the uprights have ring turnings but are not fluted. Beneath the bottom shelf the whole piece stands on four turned and carved bulbous tapering feet, on white porcelain castors. Good size, clean and sturdy with mellow colour.
