mid victorian marquetry display cabinet

Circa 1870, outstanding mid Victorian marquetry display cabinet, profusely inlaid all over with exotic woods on burr walnut and with ornate ormolu beading and mounts throughout. On the top section, the glazed sides are bow fronted and inside are 3 shelves with string inlay to the facings. At the base, the cupboard doors have impressive floral urn decorations, and all stands on a shaped plinth base. The cabinet is in excellent, unrestored condition.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
