mid victorian walnut and brass casket

Circa 1860, mid-Victorian walnut dome topped casket. With elaborate brass strapping on the top, front and sides. In the centre of the front there is also an escutcheon which has an elaborate brass casting around it with scrolling and flower heads. This continues on the side also. The casket has had its interiors removed but has good colour.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
