A striking pearlware ale jug produced in the Newcastle potteries around 1825. Of oval form, decorated with moulded scenes of gun dogs and trees beneath a border of flowers and leaves. The moulded details coloured in pink lustre. This piece is unmarked. The handle has been broken and re-stuck. There is general, light wear to the lustre decoration commensurate with use and age. Otherwise, this piece is in very good, sound condition. Please note: The purchase price includes postage and packing.
