Circa 1880. A red walnut cabriole leg stool, provenance ex Rossi Priory, Perthshire. Rectangular shaped stool with red velour top with shaped frieze to the sides. The stool stands on four well carved and shaped cabriole legs with foliate carving on the knees, reeding on the sides, finishing on an animal foot. The legs are intersected by shaped and wavy walnut stretchers which are braced by a pair of scrolling stretchers with pierced foliate carving in the center.
