Circa 1870, pair of Victorian mahogany bedside cabinets (adapted). The cabinets with rectangular flamed mahogany raised tops with a rounded moulded fore-edge which continues around the front and sides. Beneath this there is a flamed mahogany panel and this is framed by a beaded edge. The doors have raised arches, a flamed mahogany panel in the centre and rounded corners on both sides. On one of the cabinets there is a combination of 4 drawers with knob handles and flamed mahogany fronts. The other section has two shelves inside. Beneath the door there is a flat section and both bedsides stand on an enclosed flamed mahogany plinth. The cabinet is a great colour, good size and excellent condition.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
