pair of william trotter card tables

Circa 1815. A pair of mahogany carved tables in the manner of ‘William Trotter’ of Edinburgh. Rectangular tops in flamed mahogany with classic Trotter beaded fore-edge. The tops are hinged and swivel open to reveal a polished interior. There is a small frieze which is beaded similar to that of the top, the beading continues around all sides making the pair of table’s free standing. The top rests on a stylish flared stem, with foliate carving in the center, resting on a concave platform base supported on four bun feet with concealed casters beneath.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
