    A late 19th Century Coromandel writing slope.
     
    This stunning writing slope is of exceptional high quality complete with a working Bramah Lock. An additional working lock is contained within the interior to reveal a lower compartment containing two secret draws.
     
    Condition:
    This writing slope has clearly been well cared for, the thin brass Inlay is still fully intact. The exterior retains a very high level of gloss making the Coromandel grain pop in the light.
     

    Under close inspection some age related marks and scratches can be found. Many of these are visible under light (As pictured) but not immediately obvious when viewed in natural light. There are three small chips to the lid with further hairline surface cracks.
     

    The interior is in excellent condition, the secret draw mechanism is still working activated by vertically pulling a divider near to the pen rest.
     
    Overall this writing slope is a fantastic statement piece. A slope of this quality and condition is a rarity that cannot be repeated.
