Circa 1890. Qing period, large marble-inset hardwood Chinese plantstand. The shaped top with inset pink variegated marble surrounded by hardwood rim with carved edges. The open carved frieze with extensive foliate carving above an under-shelf. Supported on dragon carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. In excellent condition.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
