quality set of 8 oak dining chairs

Circa 1900. A quality set of 8 solid oak Art Nouveau dining chairs, consisting of 6 side chairs and a pair of armchairs, the armchairs with shaped uprights, curved cresting rail with a carved flower in the center, with 3 sturdy quarter sawn uprights, shaped arms with a pierced bracket at the back, supported on a curved upright, the chairs have drop in leather seats (need re-upholstering) with simple but sturdy seat rails. Back legs square and slightly out swept, front legs square finishing with a turned foot, braced by rectangular stretchers. Excellent colour and patination, clean and sturdy.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
