Circa 1820. A rare set of 6 Dutch marquetry inlaid side chairs, the shaped top with a profusely inlaid splat beneath, with drop in upholstered seats, recently reupholstered in a fine elegant fabric. The chairs have a shaped frieze in the front, with the seat rails smothered in marquetry. Back legs slightly out swept finishing on a pad foot, the elegant cabriole front legs with foliate inlay and marquetry on the knees and finishing on a simple pad foot. The chairs come with an ivory certificate.
