Thomas Cole sold many of his high quality clocks to Howell and James and other fine retailers. This particular clock, a small 6 inch 30 hour oval case and time piece watch movement. One of Coles most popular designs.

The clock has an engraved dial and gilt brass case with a typical Thomas Cole bezel of continuous engraved arches with a fold out strutt with a spade clock hand. The movement or case is not stamped Thomas Cole but its design, engraving, and serial numbers all indicate that this clock can be attributed to Thomas. Also howel and James did not copy coles designs. However some retailers may have.This clock has been in storage for many years and therefore will require a service.This clock has it's original case which shows its age and originality. The inside case is stamped howel and James to the queen, that being queen Victoria.Date circa 1854Enquire for price
