The Compleat Angler by Isaac Walton ( 1594 - 1693) illustrated by Arthur Rackham arguably the most famous British Book Illustrator ever. this is the first edition by him.

The Compleat Angler has been published by many dozens of publishers & illustrated by almost as many illustrators over the centuries since 1653 when it was first published, Walton revised & updated it for over a quarter of a century making it one of the most collected books in the world because of so many variations, one could spend a lifetime collecting the different copies.
This first edition by Rackham 1931 & is bound in a special leather binding with gilt titles to the spine and front board & complete with twelve fabulous coloured plates, the book is in fine condition and would make a fantastic gift for the fisher person in your life!
