the antique georgian 1750 crystal skull mourning ring

This incredible Georgian mourning ring features a step-cut colourless crystal panel with a depiction of a skull at its centre. The crystal is a rub-over set with a scalloped design to the back of the head of the ring. This leads to an intricate enamel patterned band with gold inlay that reads 'M.WAGER OB. 14 SEP : 1750 AET 45'.
This ring, circa 1750, is stamped for 18ct. There is some wear to the enamel, but the stone is well held and the ring is in fully wearable condition.
