Circa 1820. Unusual French, tall inlaid fruitwood dresser with a lovely colour and patina. The top with a moulded cornice and parquetry inlaid pediment over four plate racks with horizontal front bars and two spice drawers. The polished top of base over two frieze drawers with elaborate hand-made steel handles with attached escutcheons above two foliate-carved panel doors opening to a shelved cupboard over a carved shaped skirt. Supported on short, scrolled feet.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
