Circa 1870, Victorian four door mahogany cabinet bookcase. The deep stylish cornice has flat and ogee mouldings, above 4 glazed doors with flamed mahogany veneers. The glazing is framed in a stylish moulding and there are knob handles to open the doors. Inside the bookcase are adjustable mahogany shelves. Below the top is a flat section which is inverted and has mouldings underneath. On the base are 4 panelled doors with stylish veneers. Behind the right door there are index drawers with brass handles. Inside the centre section and the left hand side are cupboards with adjustable shelves. The whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. The bookcase is in excellent condition with good colour.
