Circa 1900, small tabletop white marble bust of a gentleman. In a classic simple pose, with some hairline cracks to the side and back; the name Milton is engraved to the back, indicating it could have been made in the likeness of writer, John Milton. There are no further names or markings, and the bust stands on a circular column with a flared base.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
