antique victorian (c 1860) pair of mahogany and walnut carved hall chairs

This is a lovely pair of Victorian mahogany and walnut beautifully carved hall or bedroom chairs with a very attractive shaped back and serpentine front.
The chairs are raised on beautiful turned and fluted legs. The frame of the chairs is sturdy and firm with the upholstery of the chairs in heavy weight - salmon colour, fabric contrasting perfectly with the beautifully aged mahogany and walnut. The upholstery of the seats is in very good condition.
The back of the chairs is beautifully carved with inlay of walnut and satinwood that make these a very attractive and unique pair of Victorian furniture. The chairs have been cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing to ensure they retain the historical patina and are ready to be used.
Condition report: The chairs are in good condition with minor historical knock, light scratches and small dents.
