This is an antique fireside trivet. An English, brass kettle rest or decorative stand, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

• Delightfully polished stand with skilful monogram to centre
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
• Golden tones beam from the lightly polished brass
• Monogram set within the pierced top for 'SJ'
• Raised upon four squat legs, united by rolled stretcher rails
• Naturally weathered reverse from decades of dependable use

This is a charming antique fireside trivet, displaying great tonality and pleasingly decorative. As useful today as it was nearly 150 years ago. Delivered polished and ready for the hearth.
