art deco parrot bookends by georges van de voorde

Superb pair of Art Deco bookends by Georges Van de Voorde (born in 1878 in Belgium, he worked out of France). One bookend is signed Georges Van de Voorde and both show the foundry seal Brig, Paris, France. The art metal has a really nice green patina to it they are mounted on a rich green veined marble which really compliments the metal finish of the birds. They are in excellent condition.
A similar pair of bookends are illustrated in 'Art deco and other figures' by Brian Catley.
