We present you another incredible piece of furniture in our collection -- this elegant and exquisite Biedermeier secretary desk circa 1840. The secretary desk was manufactured in Northern Europe. This furniture has been made in the method of veneering with mahogany onto a frame of coniferous tree.
Furthermore, the piece of furniture has a stepped cornice, under which there is an extendible, practical drawer, and a rectangular, gouged, lockable with a key lid. After opening the lid, there are numerous aesthetic, intarsiated compartments and drawers, and a tabernacle that can be locked with a key in the central part. On the sides of the panel, there are beautiful columns that support the cornice, which at the same time are a harmonizing and decorative element of the furniture.
In the lower section of the furniture, there are three drawers: one narrower and two wider. All escutcheons have been ornamented with beautiful, oval, and golden plates, which additionally enrich presented furniture.
The whole is supported on four rectangular plinths.
This secretary desk is a world class furniture. It will surely impress its buyer, and make him/her proud of owning such a piece of furniture.
This piece of furniture, as for its age, is in very good condition. Only slight traces of careful use are visible. We hope that the value of this furniture will be appreciated by many customers.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of wood used in manufacturing) has been confirmed by an experienced expert in vintage and antique furniture. Antique Beauty company issues CERTIFICATE OF EXHIBITOR on presented furniture, which confirms authenticity, legal origin, the approximate date and place of the furniture manufacturing.
