chinese export imari plate, qianlong

A Chinese export plate decorated in the Imari palette of underglaze blue with overglaze iron red enamel and gilding. The decoration on this plate, with its scattered flower sprays, is in the European 'Deutsche Blumen' style whcih was in fashion in the middle of the Eighteenth Century. The back is undecorated. Diameter 22.8cm (9")

Dating: Qianlong c1750-1760Condition:This plate is in excellent, undamaged, condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are two tiny 'fleabite' glaze frits to the brown-glazed rim, and a firing fault in the base which is not visible form the front of the plate. There is significant rubbing to the gilt highights.
