coalport cream jug, c.1820

A fine porcelain cream jug from the Coalport factory, manufactured around 1820. If flattened, circular form with simple loop handle. Decorated with an inner peach border overlaid with a rich gilt design of scrolls and leaves. The outside has further gilt ornamentation. The base bears the hand-written pattern number, 872, in gold. This piece is in excellent, original, sound condition with the only wear confined to one or two tiny areas of gilt loss to the handle. Please note: The purchase price includes postage and packing.
