We present you this incredible, made in oaken wood, sideboard that is a pearl among the furniture in the Brittany style. This dresser/sideboard is dated 1910, and was manufactured in France.
Moreover, the piece of furniture is double-leaf. To continue, the fronts of the leaves are ornamented with striking carvings with vegetative motif, resembling letter S. The above decorative forms only prove the craftsmanship of the woodcarving. Above the aforementioned leaves, there are two drawers, decorated with floral ornaments. On top of the whole, an oaken top with a stepped setting is placed. The fittings of the locks and the drawers’ handles are very interesting, decorative-practical elements, which add style to the furniture.
The setting, which gives the dresser monumentality, is composed of a wooden panel decorated with two turned columns on the sides, and a crown in the central part. The crown consists of an additional shelf with chiseled vegetative ornaments and four smaller columns.
At the bottom section, the dresser is placed on oaken panel, which in the combination with the frontal, baluster legs, forms an additional shelf.
Furthermore, the whole has been supported on four legs in the form of plinths.
This piece of furniture presents itself astonishingly exquisite, and will surely add charm to any living room or dining room.
This piece of furniture, as for its age, is in very good condition. Only slight traces of careful use are visible. We hope that the value of this furniture will be appreciated by many customers.
