Circa 1880. A quality set of 8 Adam style mahogany dining chairs. The oval back with foliate carving on the top, pierced and carved back including classic Adam motifs; rams heads, urns and foliate carving. The two shaped arms supported on curved uprights, the chairs with stuff over saddle shaped seat, upholstered in burgundy leather held in place by twin rows of close brass studding. Back legs are square and slightly out swept, front legs are reeded and tapering. All united by conforming stretchers.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
