Circa 1840. A 19th century French Empire design marble and ormolu table or mantel clock. With an eight day movement that strikes the half hour and hour on a bell, the pendulum is an early silk suspension. With the movement contained in a speckled dark green marble case, highly decorated with a wonderful ormolu urn on top, ormolu mounts and stands on engraved ormolu feet.
Resting on a rosewood plinth with its original glass dome. The clock has been fully serviced and is in excellent working condition. The original glass dome has an old crack in the lower corner which has been glued to stop movement.
