A truly outstanding French provincial solid cherrrywood C 18 th Armoire/ Wardrobe!
This is a marriage armoire of the best quality possible.
The armoire is made from solid cherrywood.
The Armoire has a very warm patina.
The doors are paneled and there are some beautiful carvings of foliage to the center stretcher of the piece.
There are also carvings of shells and a beautiful basket of flowers at the bottom stretcher of the armoire.
The armoire has all its original hardware such us escutcheons, original hinges and working lock and key.
The cornice has a nice design of a frieze with pearls running round the edge of the top of the armoire.
The armoire has one large shelf and 2 drawers to the interior but one can easily fit a hanging rail as well.
This armoire dates around circa 1790 and comes from the region of South Normandy.
This armoire is in good condition and would look really stunning a in any room of your home.
