georgian style crossbanded burr walnut bureau bookcase

Circa 1900, early Georgian style, crossbanded burr walnut bureau bookcase. The upper glazed section has rectangular astragal bars and 3 adjustable shelves, surmounted by a simple classical cornice. The bureau has a herringbone and cross banded burr walnut flap and a fitted interior all above 3 graduated drawers. It is standing on classical Georgian bracket feet and has brass handles and escutcheons. In excellent original condition, lovely colour and patina.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
