georgian style walnut sofa table by maple and co

Circa 1900, Georgian style figured walnut sofa table by the famous London cabinetmaker Maple and Co (the label is in a drawer). The top is in mirror matched, figured walnut with cross banding and shaped drop leaves at sides, over two frieze drawers with brass ring handles and shaped brass escutcheons. Supported at each end by twin baluster-turned pillars over a full-length plinth base supported by cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees and pad feet.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
