ITEM DESCRIPTION: Original Mid 20th Century Retro Tall Chrome Tubular Hat & Coat Stand with Umbrella/Stick Stand to the Base. Produced by PEL (Practical Equipment Ltd. England), who began in the early 1930s, and went on to produce some iconic furniture designs. I would guess that this design was post-war, but only going by the style, the base very much in the style of the early Thonet bentwood stands/racks. Original Label still intact PEL. A rare piece. Superb.
