Circa 1900, unusual pair of pitch pine, brass and metal mounted folding step ladders. With makers label to side ‘The Seafield Patent Loft Stairway, John A. Grant, Seafield Works, Cardonald, Glasgow’. With 8 pitch pine steps with threads to the sides held in place by brass screws and a central cast brass and metal hinge to the top. The metal has been painted red and the brass is unpolished.
