Circa 1920’s a quality set 12 solid oak chairs, consisting of 10 side and 2 arm chairs, the shaped uprights with 2 moulded spars and cross-rail, with Insert solid seats, the carvers with broad shaped arms with visible dowels in the hand rests, supported on bulbous uprights the back legs are square, the front legs are turned intersected by blocks with turned stretchers, the sides with double stretchers to the back legs, very clean with great colour and patination.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
