Circa 1890. Rare pair of tall carved walnut Neo-Classical display cases. Surmounted by finely carved foliate moulded cornices over moulded astragal glazed fronts separated by turned roundels and with paired astragal glazed side-doors opening to interiors. The moulded bases with flower and acanthus carved mouldings and a shell carved frieze, supported on ring turned legs with shaped crinoline stretchers over short bun feet. In pristine condition.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
