Superb quality and very unusual, Regency Scottish, flamed mahogany longcase clock, having arched hood with swan neck pediment flanked by reeded columns with brass capitals enclosing painted dial depicting the four continents and masonic symbols. The movement is 8 day rack striking with subsiduary second and date dial, original hands, and interesting painted pendelum bob. This fine grandfather clock is stamped by the maker Penman of Dunfermline.c1820
