Circa 1820. Scottish William Trotter fold over tea or small dining table. The rectangular top in a beautifully figured Spanish mahogany with crossbanding and a reeded fore-edge, lifts and revolves to reveal a matching interior showing the finest quality crossbanded mahogany over a crossbanded beaded frieze in classical Trotter style. Supported on a shaped square pillar with classical Trotter-style beaded base on a quadripartite platform with acanthus carved scrolled feet above original brass castors.
