Circa 1920, large profusely inlaid Syrian games table, the top with multiple geometric and asymmetric inlays of various woods and mother of pearl. The deep top opens to reveal similarly inlaid interior and a section with a hinged centre which lifts to reveal a chess and a backgammon table and like the outside is profusely inlaid. The table has a swivel top and underneath is a long narrow drawer, and there is a further small shaped drawer which has gaming pieces inside. The undercarriage is inlaid and stands on 4 shaped legs united by an unusual stretcher which is stepped and has a platform centre. Wonderful example of Syrian furniture and is a very pretty decorative piece. 30 gaming pieces included.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
