A superb, and rare Coalport 'Coalbrookdale' porcelain table watch stand, of scrolling form, enhanced with applied flowers and leaves, light blue enamel highlights and fine gilding. Also, a yellow snake crawling through the flowers between the two scroll feet. Unmarked, but illustrated and named in the contemporary '1st Coalport Design Book'. Overall, in excellent, original, sound condition except for a firing fault to one side. This occurred during manufacture. It is really only visible from the reverse. The decoration is in very good, unworn condition with, unusually, little or no damage to the applied flowers. Please note: the purchase price includes postage and packing.
