small french marble top commode

Circa 1880, neat-sized French marble top commode. The serpentine-fronted top in pink variegated marble with a moulded fore edge over 2 kingwood and walnut parquetry inlaid drawers with rococo bronze handles and escutcheons over shaped skirt with bronze mounts. The sides have cross banding and matching parquetry inlay, and it stands on bronze mounted cabriole supports with bronze sabots.

The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
