Art Deco had a massive impact during the twenties and thirties and it wasn’t just antique furniture that came under its influence. Art Deco would have an impact on architecture, timepieces, fashion, antique textiles and china as well as furniture. Its greatest influence was during the twenties where it took its name from the Paris World Trade Fair in 1925. It took its influences from Cubism, Modernism and Futurism. 

FIGURATIVELY ABSTRACT. The artist Bernardo Siciliano was born in Rome in 1969. He lives and works in New York and is best known for his depictions of urban landscapes and nude figures. The son of writer Enzo Siciliano, who was a close friend of Alberto Moravia and Pier Paolo Pasolini, Bernardo Siciliano is a multi-award winning artist in both Italy and America. His work has been represented by the Aicon Gallery in New York since 2016.

Whilst Alison started her career as a generic antiques dealer (or more accurately a bric a brac trader at car boot sales), she was quickly drawn to the British Art Pottery Movement. Over 25 years she has carved out a niche as the leading International antiques dealer in the field.
