As the new Year approaches we know that the gloomy month of January will soon be upon us. You know bills will arrive soon for everything you bought for Christmas. Yes, January can not only seem like a gloomy month, it can also seem like a really long month too.

When I think of antique pieces, I always imagine there’s a story behind them. The more dramatic the better. There are some stories though that capture the imagination before you’ve even spotted a particular item, and if you can match the story to the item, well you can believe the story if you want to, right?
